Welcome to the Marlborough Area
Neighbourhood Plan (MANP)

An "Open Evening" is to be held in the Village Hall on the 24th July between 6pm and 8pm to offer the Minal community the opportunity to learn more about the Marlborough Neighbourhood Plan. This process provides a statutory right for local people to influence development and growth in their area.  Within parameters, they are able to choose where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built, have their say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided.  This process is a long one involving plenty of consultation but, once a plan is published, it becomes part of the planning system for helping to determine planning applications. So this "Open Evening" will give you, our community, the chance to be involved in the production of the MANP relevant to Minal, including signing up to receive regular updates and newsletters. You will also be able to take part in mini polls, keep abreast of surveys being undertaken in your parishes and let us have us your views.

This site will also let you know about workshops, events and consultations too. We’d like all those living in our Neighbourhood Plan area – Marlborough, Mildenhall, Preshute and Savernake – to sign up to the site so we can keep you all fully up to date. As the Plan progresses, the website will offer more content as findings are built up based on the surveys, polls and consultation results and professional data. Please keep logging in to keep abreast of new information and updates.

This Plan is made by the community for the community so, do get involved and make your views known. It’s the only way that we, as a local community, has real influence on the future shape of our area.
