Memories of Minal past
Miss Lily Head 1905-1997 lived in Minal for nearly all of her life. Susan Monson, also a long term resident of Minal and for many years Secretary of the Village Hall, interviewed Lily about her memories of living in the village in the early part of the last century. Susan used a dictaphone and then transcribed Lily’s words. The result is a fascinating insight into childhood, school days and village life. We hope it will be interesting to preserve this snapshot of life and for children’s history projects.
